I fear Yates will produce a surprise result and be leading the Vuelta by more than a minute after today's ITT. Hoping otherwise.

That wouldn’t be bad for the race at all. It would force the Colombians to go all in attacking him. I find it hard to see him taking that kind of time on Valverde though.

At least until Campenaerts arrives some 53 minutes later. Then shortly after it's time for Castroviejo and Dennis.

Or not, with Asgreen being 1 minute faster at the second checkpoint.

And hopefully he stops relying on others (with insulting signs and screams included) to chase for him when his wearing the freaking RED jersey

The final flat part suits Brändle the best if it's his time you're comparing with. So that would be the hardest part to gain much time on him.
