Uh, Valverde fanboys, you do know even Valverde said Quintana is the leader? Ofcourse he is not going to pull and risk extra time loss
Of course. But Quintana wouldnt have lost any time doing that and it would have been a very nice gesture that Valverde for sure would have payed back. As I said, fortunately Valverde is a class of his own when it comes to pulling tricks like this.

I thought that he (Quintana) was going to pull for a bit as well but that could have been a bit too risky for him since he is going for the GC. Besides heat was his kryptonite and he is trying to save as much energy as possible. It is hard to make a judgement on him because of that.

Koronin, Quintana has worked for Valverde in the past several times (including this year). Don't write lies just because you hate him. Thanks.

We dont't know that Or we didn't know that. I don't want to over estimate his capabilities because I have been burned in the past.

You're right, he does on a rare occasion, however, only after being told he has to work for Valverde.

However, you are right about Quintana and heat, and it's also possible he was at his limit and couldn't do anything as well.

Why have Duchesne and Sarreau got different models of bike?
Duchesne is on the Lapierre Aircode, the aero bike. Sarreau is on the Xelius, the lightweight bike. I imagine they get to choose what they prefer for any given stage.

Too bad I was at work. Had to read only the headlines. Luckily I have a 2 week vacation after thursday. Seems like this years Vuelta is gonna be fun to watch with the many summit finishes.

I only just realised Kwiatkowski has never won a GT stage. How is that even possible?
Thats pretty nuts tbh. I have never understood why he has buried himself two years in a row in France, but I had still expected him to have one or two stages somewhere along the lines!

I just realised that de Plus rode a decent ITT yesterday. Maybe he can surprise with a good GC result?

And looks like LottoNl Jumbo have hired another great prospect as if they didn't have enough of them already.

Don't forget they also singed Tony Martin for next year as well.

That is surprising. Even being a dom in GTs, you'd still think he'd have found a stage win somewhere along the line.
Not when you're not a specialist who's not really top 3 in any disciplin. And especially Sky never wins stages with domestiques when they go for the win in a GT. Add in that Kwiat has the spot for the one GT that Sky always dominates, he never gets a chance to ride for himself, except for ITTs where he's great but no stage winner.

Well, he's a pretty decent TT'er. Finished ahead of some accomplished TT'ers at the WC ITT last year. So not really surprising. I also wouldn't be surprised if he manages to ride a decent result in the GC, but it's far from ovious for him. Crashed hard last spring, and during recovery, he got hit by a car on top of that. His first GC was in California, where he was immediately 8th, but after a good start in Poland, he dropped way back during the final stage. If he can build on last years Giro shape, he could really do well here. Still only 22.
