Are we talking about the same Valverde that sprinted in Madrid twice to gain the points jersey? Of course he will want it.

I have no idea what will happen or who will come out on top. I hope Valverde, Pinot, and Crushweak all do good.

Of course he will sprint in stage 21 if he can take the jersey, but I highly doubt he will think about that jersey today, or that he thought about it in previous stages.

Enric's mouth seems to be double the size it should be, compared to his face. But it's okay.

Since the motto of this Vuelta seems to be, "I did n't mean to attack, but woops! I won!", I expect by some technical mistake by the organisers Adam Yates is decleared the winner in Madrid. :D

Vincenzo Nibali for the Worlds Hype Train.
I hope so, but its highly unrealistic. He would have to have some serious super compensation going for him the next two weeks.

No clue what to expect outside of a great stage. I dont expect Finestre things, but definitely one of the best GT stages of the year.

I'm not sure I expect too much from this stage.

I kinda hope it's a dud cause I don't want any more of them 'ehrmehrgherdshertmehrternstages' to be a bigger success than they have any right to be. Especially considering that if you want to make loops in Andorra you can make way better loops than this

Re: Vuelta 2018 stage 20:Escaldes-Engordany - Coll de La Gal

I like this kind of stage as stage 20 but I'm not expecting great things. I think after yesterday nobody will really go all in for the win and basically everyone who still wants to get on the podium can achieve that by attacking on the final climb. Still something unexpected can always happen.

Hopefully Movi's out of the podium at the end of the stage... Crushweak in top3 would be awesome.

Although Movistar really sucks I (several years) I do hope Valverde keep this podium. Probably his last one. The guy really deserves it.
He is fading last week but his performance the whole year and first two weeks of Vuelta is just amazing.

More and more I think that he is the best rider of his generation.
Yates, Valverde, Kruijswijk would be a well-deserved podium of this Vuelta for me.

However, this stage has all the potential to be just epic.

The towel responded: "He [López] wanted to throw me into the race but he was afraid that I would get caught in Enric Mas' rear wheel preventing him from wheelsucking Mas to the finish line."

Mas didn't rode much differently than Lopez at all!

Lopez can't realistically hope to podium by waiting, but that doesn't mean he won't wait

If we're expectin shenanigans, I'd expect them from Kelderman to try and make the top 10 after all. Thibaut Pinot is the only wildcard, he might join the breakaway lol

Last time Gallina, 2013, Ratto wins from the break and then:

I hope so, but very hard to believe given his form

If Pinot for once can chain two good days together he will be on the offensive for sure. I mean, what does he have to lose really? He has two stage wins and is 7th in GC. Why not get Molard into the break and then attack on the third pass? Three minutes and something down on the podium can only be made up by a daring move. And it's not even 'all or nothing' because he will always have the two stages and 7th really isn't that amazing for him.

Even if Adam is really the baby called Simon, does that not still make him Adam? And vice versa.

The switch would have to happen later in their lives
