Almost forgot there was a stage today. You lot know the drill. Some Spanish not-champagne, some pictures, some meme attacks, and in the end Philipsen farms one more to my great disgust.

Well, at least it has been cut down to 108km....
The good news is the late finish, so there are no conlicts with the smaller races should there be an interest in those.

Does anyone know how many times 3 Americans have finished in the top ten of a Vuelta or grand tour ?
weeeeell a number of times in the 2000s tdfrances with DQ Rider + one other like Hamilton, Landis, Leipheimer, Vande Velde and Horner but only one time in 2005 with two of em, Landis + Leipheimer

looking through there is literally a new american man in the top ten every year, also Danielson, van Garderen and Talansky, so many stage race type riders

Lots of these riders are on another " list" also in the clinic
