Hard to believe Sanchez could get caught napping on that circuit and given the short climb, but he was.
Or else, he and Purito have agreed to share the spoils of these taylor made ramps and duke it out on the serious mtf.

Great teamwork by Katusha. Karpets, Losada and Vorganov did a terrific job, Moreno was even more impressive.

Indeed, much like on the Muur, but with more success.
Cobo 5th.

Impressive leadout by Moreno

Yeah, worked much better than on the Mur at Fleche... On a side note, Denis Menchov must have failed pretty bad, out of top 10 overall for now

Is Ricardo Garcia signing for EE next year or what?
He and Cabedo will join Euskaltel for sure. He has been very reliable this year, a lot of top 10 placings, mostly in tough races.

Good ride by Simon, too.

Menchov was near the front, but he lost some seconds. This climb was way too short and explosive for him, I'd say he's building well for the Vuelta. Anton and Nieve too, for that matter. I expect Menchov and Anton to do great at the Lagunas de Neila.

what happened to Anton in today's yesterdays stage?

That was a very good win for Sammy.
Glad to see Purito going well ahead of the Vuelta. Menchov also seems to be going better than he was at Austria.
Was a little disappointed with Anton's level though. Hope he's timing it to perfection:)
Sammy has a really good chance now of taking the overall.
Igor Antón at last year's Vuelta a Burgos:

stage 1: in the péloton on a sprint
stage 2 (same finish as yesterday): 34th @ 0'33"
stage 3: 7th (TTT)
stage 4: in the péloton on a sprint
stage 5 (Lagunas de Neila): 4th @ 0'24"

I'd say he's in the same kind of form, not bad at all.

Certainly think he and Cabedo look like very interesting talents. Cabedo was brilliant in Asturias.

I think Euskaltel will podium this TTT. They should podium, actually, and I would not be surprised at all if they won it. Oroz, Isasi, Astarloza, Sanchez: that's some very good TT riders, and Anton and Nieve will want to practice for the Vuelta. Landa is more of a climber, and I don't know whether Bilbao can do a decent TT, but they're both in good form. This is not the Tour, you know. It's not as if Topsport Vlaanderen, Androni and Andalucia are going to beat Euskaltel here.

Not saying that Andalucia etc. are going to beat them, but in the GC picture they are likely to struggle against Movistar, Geox and perhaps Katusha. Although I'd obviously pick Sammy over JRo for a TT any day, even an average Karpets is quite a powerhouse and Kuschynski seems a pretty good rouler.

The average velocities in the TTT will be unreal

Regarding the question why they expect such a high average speed during the TTT.

Not sure this is the right profile, official website shows a different one (basically flat).
Regardless, last year was a 21.3 km flat/no turns TTT, and the winning time was 21:42

Google maps relief curves indicate that the stage departure is around 200m above the finish town. Downhill TTT with almost no curves :D
