With 28K to go the gap went down to 55 seconds. Peloton is really going fast at the moment.

Yes, where is the time when superstars like Thomas Dekker graced this race with their presence :p

Two years ago Contador was here last, I think. Tondo won, Contador flatted twice on the queen stage.

Surely you remember how good the Colombians were!? I believe it was there that Atapuma showed his GT winning credentials.

I think some interesting names attacked a reasonable way out and Porte was pacing the Contador group for ages, losing heaps of ground

Rojas can't even get a win in this field.

lol, Seriously! I thought for sure as long as he was there in the final, then he should, in theory, be able to grab an easy win. Guess not. :D

I'm really interested to see how Carlos Barbero and Evgeny Shalunov will perform in the next two stages.

It was even better the year before that, with Igor Antón and Ezequiel Mosquera trading turns attacking Contador, before Juan Mauricio Soler rode across to them, and they proceeded to do a number on Contador, Antón eventually escaping for the win atop El Morredero, but not being able to get away early enough to prevent Contador taking the win back in the ITT, while, riding for Caja Rural, Michał Kwiatkowski decided that one of his weaknesses was working out which was the right break to be in, so tried to hedge his bets by being in EVERY break.
