Has Sicard ridden anything of note this year?

I just hope that he doesn't end up like so many others never reaching his potential due to constant injuries
Last time I saw him was in the Dauphine....last year:)

Yeah, but I don't understand why this case has been so slow.

Do they ever work at these institutions???

Rumours are the Vuelta will go to the Canary islands in 2012, word is they will climb the Teide vulcano and the Pico de las Nieves.

Fantastic news if confirmed. The Islands have lots of insanely hard climbs.

He's been confirmed for Colorado - they must be offering something good to get all those riders to be at those events

Money lots of it and all the riders going have a bike manufacturer who is US based- Yes BMC are Swiss but the US market is more important to them than Europe.

Ps I bet specialized nearly got down on their knees to beg Contador to ride.

Who will win out of Cav VS Kittel is the real question that should be asked. Is Farrar/ Griepel riding???

Main contenders; Anton, JROD, Nibali, Scarponi, Menchov. I would love for Wiggins to go well but the last week may not suit him with explosive hills and the 2nd week might not either with high mountains ( him not being a pure climber )

Really, you actually think that Kittel has a shot of winning Cavendish? Going for a podium in one single flat stage is the max he can get out of the Vuelta I reckon.

The biggest concern for Anton is that he doesn't lose too much time during the TTT and during the ITT but none of the big gc riders other than Wiggins will be able to take big time out of him.

I don't know. Have you seen the pure speed Kittel has. It's really impressive. I have never seen Farrar or Greipel win a sprint like that in similar stage-races as Poland, and they have beaten Cavendish as well.
Heck, even Theo Bos did :p

I'm not sure of their competitiveness in regards of the GC, but if you mention Wiggins: Brajkovic and Klöden will

I think Scarponi will take 30s out of Anton and Nibali may take around that as well but Purito will lose **** loads of time. Menchov should take some big time. Depends on his form. If he isn't on good form in the ITT he could do quite badly but even on a mediocre day he could take some big time.

Do people think Gesink will be able to rejuvenate for the Vuelta for a podium spot?

Anybody care for a bet that Kittel won't get a single top 3 in the Vuelta?

Surely he's in great danger of falling out of the time limit in the first week already.

Gesink doesn't ride the Vuelta.

I think it's a wish of Cannondale that Basso rides there.

he's not that bad up a hill is he?

Saddly, he is very very very poor uphill. I would be extremly suprised if he makes it to Madrid. Actually that would be a miracle.
