Yes, he'll start. Has already been training for a week I think. Kruijswijk to be "surprise" top 5.

Considering his development it could happen. Like him a lot.
Probably the fact the first 2 weeks are heavy might not help him tho.

Kruiswijk was just confirmed by Breukink in a interview just after the ceremony on the Champs.
Together with the 4 spanish riders Rabo has (Garate, Barredo, Sanchez and Freire). Maybe Mollema and definately not Gesink.

Can't wait for the Vuelta :)

I'd be surprised if matti didn't ride also

Ps. I'd like it if slagter got another go

I like everyone that has the guts to follow one of Contador's attacks unless his name is Andy :p

Though the bonking that goes with it, is less fun. Especially in Scarponi's case haha. I forgot Scarponi will also ride the Vuelta, I won't know who to root for now(don't believe in VDB2 chances).

It's not exactly a decision, it's the standard procedure at the Vuelta.

After waiting until 9 and 12 to have a proper mountain stage in the Giro and Tour respectively, I like it.

They put Lagos de Covadonga on stage 4 in 2007, and a couple of intermediate stages as 3 and 4 last year. They have been leaving it unusually long to go to a mountain stage recently (stage 7 in 2008, stage 8 in 2009).

This won't have to do much to be the best GT of the year.

I hope Scarponi will start Vuelta and we'll see the epic battle between him and Anton, it would be awesome.

Too little TT kms for Menchov I presume. But, if he takes the jersey in the TT - he could hold it all the way to the finish in Madrid.

Can't imagine van den broek or wiggins taking the overall serious though

I think van den broeck will take it as seriously as humanly possible considering his injuries. He won't make any predictions, but he seems to be eager to save his season. Maybe top 10 or a stage win? Wiggins was considering riding it purely as preparation to the WC ITT i think.

And the another rider who should do well there is Nieve. Of course he should help Anton first, but he started only 2 GTs in his career so far and two times he was impressive.

Stage 4 with Sierra Nevada far away form the previous climb and through the main road will be like Monte Terminillo. Nothing to do with what we saw in 2009.

Nevertheless, there's still San Sebastian and Burgos before the Vuelta.
