htc don't have anyone who is a tt rider, lampre has nobdy that is close to being called a tt'er.

TTT's over a short distance is an anaerobic effort, not aerobic. The sprinters can do short sharp bursts in the technical bit which helped them out and then do short sharp pulls later on. If you saw them, they were swapping every three hundred odd metres and their sprinters were sprinting to full speed.

You mean church of cardiology - the church of Cadels massive heart ( metaphor for balls, guts)
I like it. You are 100% correct.

I understand as i said earlier that this race suits sprinters but I personally expected more. Lampre was a big surprise still.

TGBM does not have his own church. The only rider to have his own religion is cadel evans and the church of cadelogy!

A church is expected to have a leader, but Cadel tends to struggle with holding on to that position.

Furthermore, a proper church has lotsa followers who can't get on with each other, not the idol himself who trots off in a huff, bemoaning the actual support he gets from his own lot.

Potential quote of the Vuelta right here, heard on Spanish TV:

Óscar Pereiro (joking about Caisse's poor performance): They know how to ride in daylight, they're not used to the night.
Pedro Delgado: So Cancellara and O'Grady should do fine.

How strong was O'Grady at the finish! At one point I watched him do a big pull on the front, then Fabian comes to the front for about 10 seconds before dropping to the back. Didn't look good.
Cancellara was most likely waiting for a Schleck, since it's the fifth man that counts anyway.

I dont get it.
Think of the stories about Cancellara & co. at the Tour of California and what not!

I'm starting to suspect that "you had to be there" includes having seen the season's run-up to it, on a Spanish TV.

What stories?

BAH!

If it helps, Delgado went on to drop hints about how they spent a rest day's night last year, chillin'.

Do tell.... [pretty please]

my best guess is it is a joke about drinking. Maybe the stories were that they were partying all night, and the guy made a joke that they are good during the night

CVV tweet explaining Dean's last place finish:

Ouch. Kinda fun, kinda terrifying. Lost Julian on the warm up to a "dark sidewalk". Bad crash and put some fear in the team. Conrats to HTC about 3 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
