don't read it then.

No, how about you and the Clinic idiots shut the **** up and stop ruining cycling with unfounded and completely proofless accusations, only prolonging the stigma the sport has and doing as much, if not more damage to it than the doping itself.

No excuses. No half-assed reasons. Shut up.

On topic: I wouldn't place my hands on mire for Froome's sprint, but can he attack? All we've seen from him so far is high tempo, but does he have the explosion needed to win back the lost time in the slopes?

Didn't you see that the camera following Wiggins group fell over and hit the ground and then the picture died.

That is bloody steep. Just like burning motos on Zoncolan. I was happy that we got pictures despite the weather.

Guys let's be serious, that's one of the worst cycling tv coverage I ever saw... not just today, all Vuelta along.
A very nice stage, ruined like this, but fun anyway.
Grats to Cobo, nice win indeed, real guts.
Not over yet. :)

The record books will show Cobo as the winner but for me Froome is the man.
at least Lance looked to be trying and kind of hurting when he battered everybody in the old days. That was ridiculous today.

What the hell are you talking about? Do you think Cobo wasn't at his limit? Do you think he wouldn't want another let's say 30 secs on the GC to be safe?

Looking forward to the dope test results. Should move the general classification somewhat, if the vampires are doing their job properly. :D

And as DS of Sky, having seen Froome blow up time and time again in one week tours, you really would have put your eggs in that basket?
Not all, but I wouldn't have made him ride 10 km at the front of the peloton into a headwind losing 30 seconds for no reason at all, while in the red jersey. Else than that their tactics have been fine.

In 2 weeks Froome has gone from what probably was the minimum wage which he wasn't even getting renewed to probably getting at least 500 000 euros a year or so next year, quite insane.

No I would've spread my eggs over both baskets. Putting everything on a guy who's had a half-preparation due to injury when he looks like the second best cyclist on your team doesn't seem like the smartest idea to me.

Or you can be completely wrong.

We should definitely stop asking questions about what Froome can do. It's quite clear that his palmarès is not a good source to go to because he's proven over and over again in the last two weeks that he isn't the same rider as the one that compiled his former palmarès. He's a man reborn.

wauue new standard for amateur coverage..

like a fooball match where the goals a removed.

I donated a videocamera to africa..

instead should have supported spain..!!

Yeah I know there are suffering financiel-wise, but wasnt aware that it was so bad..

a shame for spain....

Have you ever tried climbing up a 23,6% slope with a big motorcycle with two adult men and equipment on it?

Was he properly dropped though? It happened near the top and sometimes riders just ease up a bit at the top knowing they will get back on the descnet. Also, some climbs have soigneurs at the top handing out bottles. Easier to drop back and take a load rather than fight for position and then risk a crash by slowing down etc?
+1

Commentator made exactly the same comment. Many riders do the same thing.

spalco said:
I don't get those comments. How was anybody supposed to know that beforehand? Wiggins has at least proven he can ride consistently in a 3-week race; why in the world would Sky have trusted Froome to do the same?

Stop making sense! It so brings down the conversation. You're right Wiggins should have been the protected rider. He just didn't have it today.

The Vuelta website is saying Cancellara was 10th on the stage. I cannot believe that's true. When did Poels lose a bunch of time? I know he was good on the J-Rod-won stages and he has been riding well this weekend, yet he is only 10th overall.

Well, most impressed by Poels. Congrats to him. I can't remember where he lost time (though there was the TT as well). But under better circumstances he could have podiumed. Might have the best overall uphill time of all contestants.

that has gotta go to cobo actually.

But poels was one of the best no doubt.
