Los jueces árbitro han impuesto a Vincenzo Nibali (Liquigas) una sanción de un segundo por adelantarse ese tiempo en la rampa de salida de la contrarreloj de Peñafiel.

If Sastre misses 3rd place by less than 17 seconds (I don't know if I remember correctly, anyway, the time he lost in sprinter stages), it will be even better than dropping no one but Tondo.

He's great. But just to stay within the same team, I dont see him as better than Renshaw.... except Goss is working with less of a "train". He has to find and occupy the right spot. Pretty amazing.
.

you also have to remember that Cavendish won 2 tour stages this year against the best sprinters without a leadout at all...

Goss is great, Renshaw is great, but Cavendish is the closer. he gets it done.

On the subject, which one of them will play Greipel next year?

Probably Goss?

Probably. I think Renshaw knows where is strengths lie and has no pretentions as lead sprinter any more, and Goss had beaten some decent sprinters when going for it himself.

Also, wasn't Ciolek rumoured to be returning to HTC. Has that happened or has he gone elsewhere?

Was rumoured and HTC would take him back.
But latest rumour is Team Schleck now. Chances for that are good I can say.

Sky news: "cavendish makes up for tour de France disappointment by closing in on green jersey"

So winning 5 stages is a disappointment these days?

Hondo is a better leadout man than either of them. He singlehandedly managed what nobody else has been able to and derailed the Columbia train; he and Petacchi could be 5 men apart on opposite sides of the train with 1.2km to go, but with 1.0km to go they're together. Goss and Renshaw have the benefit of their work being clearly visible because their team usually puts them right to the front and their closer is almost 100% money.

I just wish HTC would be cool for once and let a breakaway stay away. It's not like they're not going to have a shot in Madrid.

I'd say Goss. Goss is a lot more versatile and could be the next oscar friere. Renshaw is a pure sprinter and i still think there are a handful of guys who's top end speed is faster than his.
