It's about 8km at 7% iirc. PRC did a whole investigation into possibilities for using Las Rías Altas here including two suggested stages:

Trasmonte is short but steep, but the descent is very narrow, therefore the run-in from the second option may be a bit too difficult to incorporate.

I do not know where you are taking profiles but desnivel acumulado it is definitelly not even close to 3900m as it is wrote here, not even that 3000 in 2nd profile, it is like half of that (or I am not able to count, but it seems quite strange data to me)

anyway I would like to see Siera Pandera finish back in Vuelta and if there also would be something like stage 11 this year, I would not mind :)

I'd bet the farm it is. You're probably only counting the categorized climbs. Not only some of the hills aren't categorized, the smaller bumps in the road must be taken into account as well.

I calculated it in my head from image so it can be different but still I do not see there 4000m in any way, but I know that some GPS claculation make systematic mistake especially in stages with lot of that small bumps

Libertine: it would be cool if you would be able to do profile like they have on Giro on Tour, I would ask you to learn me how to do that :)
but stages like that on the start of Vuelta or even some other GT would be cool

I'm not Libertine but Cronoescalada does Tour/Vuelta/Giro/retro style profiles.

thanks for that adress, it will be usefull for me, but I actually meant to recieve pictures like you can find on steephill stage profiles or even on official pages of Giro/Tour or simillar like LS posted

edit: sorry I just found how to do it

More details on the Galician stages:

We already knew about the stage finish in Ézaro. The interesting bit is the finish in San Andrés de Teixido. This is at the foot of Garita da Herbeira.

Space is the village is very tight, so I don't know if this might be a descent finish or they'll just put the finish at the summit and name it after the closest village.

Finally we're getting some rumours on stages after the first week:
  • Unipublic has been looking for hotel accommodations around the town of Alcañiz and has proposed to host a stage departure there on the 5th of September (last week's Moday), but the town finances are not in good health so they'll have to look for funding somewhere else
  • The article states that the preceding stage (Sunday 4th of September) will finish in Huesca. Being Sunday at the end of the 2nd week I would think this could be MTF (Formigal?, Panticosa?, Cerler?), but the transfer from any of those places to Alcañiz would be 3 hours long.
Coming from the West and going South after Huesca means no more Pyrenees. If there is a mountain stage on Saturday 3rd of September it would probably be in Navarre.

It would need to be, we already know 5 days in Galicia, and Camperona being expected to be stage 8 suggests two stages in Asturias, so over a third of the race in the northwestern corner. Alicante is about as far from there as is imaginable, so would seem to suggest a long transfer or that it will be toward the end of the race. If they go anticlockwise they could go south and have the penultimate weekend stages in the south then have a late TT in Alicante and work their way up toward Cuenca, Guadalajara and Madrid in week 3 I guess.

If the stage on Monday 3rd week departs from Alcañiz as rumoured, the 2nd rest day will be on Tuesday and the ITT on Wednesday. Not a long transfer from wherever they finish on Monday (Teruel or Castellón) to the North of Alicante.

Right, that makes sense, so where would Unipublic go from there to get back to the finish and not have a tame finish? Maybe Wednesday Alto de Aitana and Thursday the TT? Or Wednesday the TT and then Thursday somewhere like Sierra de Espuña? Or (pray pray pray) Cálar Alto on Thursday, some flat stage up to Ciudad Real or Tomelloso on Friday, then into the Sierra de Madrid from somewhere like Toledo on Saturday? Or are they going to go the 2013 route and stick a huge transfer back to Madrid after some Andalucian MTF?

Urdazubi-Urdax (Navarre) rumoured as a possible stage finish. I haven't found the original source in Diario de Navarra, but posts in forums mention the possibility to have this stage either on Friday or on Monday. Friday would be in line with the rumour to have the stage on Sunday in Huesca, Monday in Alcañiz and the ITT in Alicante after the second rest day. If this stage in Navarre is on Monday every (little) thing we know about the second and third weeks may need to be reshuffled.

Stage 9 will finish at Alto del Naranco in Oviedo, just the day after La Camperona.
