A quarter of Spain’s salt comes from Torrevieja, the start town, and one of the stranger features of its 800-year-old industry is that the lagoons where the salt evaporates shine pink and blue because of the minerals they contain.
The Vuelta’s opening team time trial rapidly moves away from a lagoon, however (for the record this one shines pink) and gets down to cycling business as usual after crossing under a busy A-road on a flat and fairly straight access road leading away from the salt-processing buildings.

quite windy there at the moment, but it's supposed to calm down a bit. Could be an advantage for the late starters

Not very effective teamwork there by AG2R. Four riders left and some gaps building in the corners.

Any live feeds working in USA? Fubo and NBC are showing the whole Vuelta, but NOT the prologue - what the f***?

Is the popcorn industry equally developed there?
They surely don't have problems with the icy roads.

I meant they're not showing stage 1, for who knows what reason. Maybe feed problems? If anyone has a US feed that works, it would be great.
