Apparently, there were quite some riders that crashed. DQS would've won it without the Jumbo car, I think.

We saw Powless and Hofstede get taken over by Quick-Step inside the last kilometer. How the hell was Kuss, who basically dropped on the starting podium, only 20 something seconds slower, when we saw him get taken over miles before that?

Oh, I didn't pay attention to when he was overtaken. Maybe he drafted a bit behind the Deceuninck car?

Kuss overshoot a corner, was left behind and has made an ITT. Powless and Hofstede just soft pedalled after the crash. Nothing weird here.

On Polish Eurosport they said that Kuss had a mechanical very early in the stage. I don't know if they had reliable info but they said it.

Crashes can happen in any stage, they are not a valid argument against TTTs, if you ask me.
I think technical TTTs like this are awesome. Puts a premium on skills like teamwork and bike handling, and more explosive efforts out of corners. Really different skills to other kinds of stages.

And it sets up the GC picture far better than a few dull flat stages.

I saw one Jumbo rider checking his bike for a long time when he was going on the starting ramp.

Any live feeds working in USA? Fubo and NBC are showing the whole Vuelta, but NOT the prologue - what the f***?

NBCSports and the Olympic Channel have it taped delayed at different times. Olympic Channel it's on a 4 est. NBCsports I think it's in the middle of the night.

Would that even have been possible? Stopping the race...

There must be some measures to take in such cases. What if it would have been glass instead of water or something. Not sure how they neutralize the TTT with times so close though.
