Nahh not really. Nothing as long as this. The climbs around Madrid are 10-12km at max. And the climb on the penultimate stage is not very steep and not nearly as long as today.

The climb today is comparable to the first of the Andorra stages from last year's Vuelta, where Valverde also had an off-day.

Valverde and Roglic had to pay the bank today for going deep yesterday, but Roglic seemed to have a little more in reserve to recover. MAL and Pogacar looking great. Maybe we know now why Moviestar was not more aggressive earlier in the stage--Valverde maybe not feeling great today. Soler really helped him limit losses.

Great ride by Fuglsang. Sure, he had a disappointing TDF, after crashing hard right at the start, and then finally crashing out, but the rest of his season has been fantastic.

Nice win by Fuglsang. Valverde and Roglic maybe suffering for yesterday. Quintana slipping further back. Lopez can only hope that Valverde collapses. Roglic and Pogacar at the moment look solid. Geoghegan Hart has been trying hard. Wouldn't mind seeing him win a stage.

The race for positions 2 and 3 will be interesting in the final days. The hardest stages are done, but there are two more tough stages remaining that could shake up the GC a little bit.

Indeed. There are really only 5 stages left and he appears strong enough. The lessons he learned in the Giro and having a good team have made all the difference. Well and Nibali not being there .
