Valverde and Roglic had to pay the bank today for going deep yesterday, but Roglic seemed to have a little more in reserve to recover. MAL and Pogacar looking great. Maybe we know now why Moviestar was not more aggressive earlier in the stage--Valverde maybe not feeling great today. Soler really helped him limit losses.

Think Rog just watched them go, checked the power and knew he could get back if he sat on his current output.

Fuglsang saying in his exit interview in danish, that he was watching Hart getting closer and closer, and was waiting for him to get within 10 meters, and then he would drop the hammer again, to break him...... and when he did, Brambilla broke too.
Great ride by Fuglsang. Sure, he had a disappointing TDF, after crashing hard right at the start, and then finally crashing out, but the rest of his season has been fantastic.

Third week could be similar to last year with:

Roglic as Simon Yates
Pogacar as Mas
Valverde and Lopez as themselves

Bala has more than a minute on Lopez. Could be close in the end.
The race for positions 2 and 3 will be interesting in the final days. The hardest stages are done, but there are two more tough stages remaining that could shake up the GC a little bit.
