Valverde is on the podium, with or without Quintana!
This was about breaking Roglic, but apparently Astana is not interested in that, and wants more that 4th place of Lopez
Sorry, don't believe that for a second. They effectively gave Jumbo a break, let Rog sit in and encouraged Astana to think they could shut the gap even more. They want to secure Valverde on the podium and don't care about Nairo. That's fine, it's their choice, but that's what this is.

But he doesn't have any helpers at all IN CASE of a puncture
So work if he has puncture, since working before that doesn't increase its chance. Is it that hard?

Truth is Valverde has the biggest ego in the peloton. His boys worked hard till the moment Quintana wouldn't surpass him in the standings and then stopped. It's not Valverde vs Roglic, it's all about Valverde vs Quintana for Movi.

Thats fine, love when people think they have the undisputed truth.

Thats just so incredibly ignorant.
This narrative will never stop will it? Its like you have never seen a race.

The gap is edging out again.

It's more or less Sanchez and a Bora guy I cannot see who is, doing all the work in the peloton...... everyone else seems to be out of gas.

The break may edge out a greater gap now.
Polanski.

But i certainly take back my compliment for Movistar's tactic. What a *** mess of a team. This could have been way more. But no, take back over a minute...

Why Astana doesn't Gamble and just put the brakes!!!
Let Pogacar and Roglic work for it. At least Pogacar. They would kill him today.
This.
As it is, Astana is tiring out their own domestiques while Roglič's get to take it easy at last and maybe recover a bit for tomorrow. It makes no sense with the time gap Quintana currently has.

If they didn't care about NQ then they wouldn't have been working on the front of his group

It's a facts not narrative, Valverde always works against Nairo. Did you see like he was pulling away at Los Machucos instead of working together to bridge the gap to leaders? No, Alejandro's main aim was to seize control and sole leadership of his own team. Sometimes it is okey, but today it was beyond the limit...

Just turned this on. I thought today was a sprint stage? Wth is going on? Why isn't Astana making Roglic and Pogacar chase?
