Wow. If Bennet wasnt on a toy bike, he might have taken this.

That would have been a sprint performance of the season contender if Bennett had somehow won from all the way back where he started

Massive kudos to Quick Step for thinking out of the box by sending Cavagna up the road to isolate Bennett. Then followed by a superb lead-out from Stybar and Richeze.

A "how to beat a way superior sprinter as a team"-masterclass.

Kinda feel sorry for Bennett.

Bennett lost the race on the last roundabout. Took the wrong side and got washed back in the peloton. Great sprint all the same.

Don't know what Bennett was doing on that roundabout. Guess he just got squeezed and was forced to take that line.

Great job from QST from 10km to the finish, as usual.

Good to see Gaviria up there again.

Nice one by Jakobsen. No surprise Bennett is the fastest.

I say good on a 22 yo Jakobsen to finish his teams work regardless of Bennett closing fast

Absolutely. Every other sprinter in the race other than Gaviria could have been the beneficiary of that great set up and they’d still lose by a bike length. Jakobsen is inconsistent but he’s fast and young and this is an important win.

So I see in the results that they have relegated to last place in the group to Max Walscheid and Juan Molano. I don't see clearly what happened.

Me neither. I did see a bit of a dodgy move by Bennett vs Sajnok earlier on, but didn't notice anything off limits between Walscheid and Molano.
