Pogacar is the real deal. Unfortunately he isn't in the right team.
I know Quintana is not the most liked rider on this forum, or in the world actually, but this was an embarrassing showing from Marc Soler.
Marc Soler showing his professionalism!
What the sponsors are going to say about it?
he had bruises in his arm so it is very possibleDid MAL crashed?
Soler is a domestique who should wait for his captaib who has a realistic shot at winning the Vuelta. It’s one of those comic tragedies. Soler is an Avenir winner finally off on his own and he has to wait for Nairo who can’t hold onto a 20 year olds wheel.
Who says it was a comeback? It’s one of those comic tragedies. Soler is an Avenir winner finally off on his own and he has to wait for Nairo who can’t hold onto a 20 year olds wheel.
Nice comeback by MAL, who crashes more than Van de Velde in his crashing prime.
I’m not knocking Nairo, just that I can understand Soler’s disappointment. He has been selfless in his support for his team leaders for years now.Soler is a domestique who should wait for his captaib who has a realistic shot at winning the Vuelta.
Pogacar was on a stellar day but he also profited from all the work Quintana did before he attacked. Guess who should have been there working for his captain.
For all the drama and Soler's shenanigans, as a team Movistar got it right. Quintana was clearly stronger than Valverde and got the red jersey as well. It just so happened that one guy was even stronger than him.
Now, how all this influences the mood in their dinner table , is a completely different matter altogether.![]()
