Soler is employed as a domestique. Yes, a domestique can win stages. However, with 3kms to go, Soler was never going to win today's stage. His public display against his team was him trying to minimise his own failings on this stage. He should be told to leave Movistar. He looked like an idiot today. What age is he ? 12 ?
Sure, the team that's losing three of its four best stage racers is going to fire its fifth best stage racer because he expressed some anger at being asked to sacrifice a potential stage win to help a guy that's leaving the team. They'll give him a bit of a kicking, make him eat a bit of humble pie, and then they'll get right back to working with and for him.

Yup, baffling how some people are so quick to overreact. Soler has done a stellar job this season and going off the interview with Lastras, this should all be taken care off now. I understand why he was frustrated, but next year there will be none of that. I expect him and Mas to co-lead the Tour + Vuelta.

Video of the Roglic crash

This video seems to show that the motor cycle wasn't (at least not) fully responsible for Roglic' crash. Something Jumbo has stated in social media and interviews, saying the motor cycle "stopped" in a corner, causing Roglic to crash. Which wasn't the case.
Yep, Motor cycle was definitely moving and Roglic could see him. Now, what happened in that curve, did the moto slipped a bit, or Roglic, that we can't see.

No he came around a blind curve and most likely clipped a moto that was stopped on the course. Then the moto riders helped him up. But they Had No Business being stopped there!
No, moto was not stopped, he was moving, was in front of Roglic, and he could actually see him. Don't know what happened though, and who's fault it was, but moto was definitely moving.
Look for yourself, there's a video posted on previous page by Naico

I've watched it 5 times...second 10 to 16 in slow motion. It's hard to see but the Blue moto is stopped and when he falls one of them get off to help him up. They Shouldn't even have been there!

This is like the KY Derby...people will argue forever unless we get much better video.

NBCSN just showed video--much easier to see all cleaned up and on a 40 in screen. The Shimano Blue neutral service moto is the one involved (as I said above). The actual crash isn't shown because it happens around the curve but the moto is stopped a good 4 feet from the side of the Rocks in the road and a rider gets off to help Roglic up. It is described as a contremps with that moto.
