Very tough choice today between cycling and the much less serious business of us politics

The remaining few days are going to be a massive headache for tjv if this carries on.

The breakaway contest seems exciting today.
Only now a group of seven looks to be clear.
Such a shame there's no coverage yet.

Just tuned in, looking at the road map. Must admit I'm too far behind personal stage analysing in this awkward year and just realized they finish in Ourense, where I took overnight in late
90ies. Quite dissapointed they missed SO many possibilities for a typical 'Murito', and just missing Mirador Montrealegra (I think it was named).

The slightly uphill finish in the streets past Minho is in my memory a lot easier than the rough profiles said, though it should make it an interesting finale between sprinters, climbers and GC riders. But just a small hesitation in the final 1½ k's and it's a grab for the sprinters.

Look at Woods cynically sitting at the back of a Movistar led break. Have to imagine they'll all be sitting up in protest at some point

Shameful

no way this break will get caught, I am surprised the odds on the breakaway riders are still so long, Woods pays out x 6.

The real question is, are Astana pulling for the stage, a weird Vlasov attack, or is it just so Fraile can ride up to Woods, pat him on the shoulder and say 'not today'

Lol why is Woods not working? this is pathetic

I've lost all sense of what's serious or a joke on this particular point, but he is taking turns in the break lol

Astana has multiple options. Fraile, as mentioned, Aranburu, LuLu, Gorka, even Ion can go on the attack.

Strange that teams like Mitchelton or UAE are not helping Astana as they have options for the finish.
