I'd like to see retired sprinters call the shots of relelgation. Petacchi, Freire, McEwen, O'Grady etc.
Petacchi was a gentleman, and while the three others could pull some moves, I can't remember them causing a crash Cav-style.
Can you imagine if the guy next to you in the group had a frame pump? Thats like a firearm open carry.lol you would have to stick a pump between another guys spokes to be dqed if old sprinters were the judges,
Are you trying to compare this to ramming a rider into the boarding? Or you think that because Lefevere is wrong now, that he was wrong then also? What if Liepins had crashed, would Mr. "We will go to court, he should be put in jail" Lefevre sing a different tune?
The first contact yes, the second contact, no. Either way though, just because someone else does something stupid, doesn't mean he can do something stupid.Videos Gallery stage Stage 9 - Motril > Granada - La Vuelta 2024

Bennett defending his own space there, surely.
I think Bennett is a nice guy and i really like him, but even if this were not necessarily dangerous, it was still completely unnecessary and unsportsmanlike/aggressive behavior which needs to be banned from cycling. If someone slaps me in the face, chances are this is not going to cause any injuries, but i'm still not going to accept it, lol. Let's hope they will punish these gestures consequently going forward.

I've seen Nibali do it in echelons battleAnother thing: Why on Earth did Amador think it would be a good idea to ride with the arms resting on his bars, leading the peloton 1700 metres from the line in the midst of a full battle for position? One of the more reckless things I have seen. Luckily, there was no crash but that was definitely not his doing.
Abdoujaparov, Renshaw, Steels, Brown...I'd like to see retired sprinters call the shots of relelgation. Petacchi, Freire, McEwen, O'Grady etc.
I reckon they'd follow football and introduce yellow cards for dives?Abdoujaparov, Renshaw, Steels, Brown...
Either that or introduce a "no fracture no foul" rule.I reckon they'd follow football and introduce yellow cards for dives?
Abdou should be a UCI sprint judge The terror of Tashkent was sometimes more danger to himself than to anybody else... How the hell was he able to keep that bike upright swinging like that??? I still wonder to this day... Seriously though, today, almost every single of his sprints would a DQ.Abdoujaparov, Renshaw, Steels, Brown...

There is a British rock band named after Abdoujaparov
I'm not comparing anything. I think he was right in calling for safer racing initially. His calls for Groenewegen to be jailed were comically extreme. Are you trying to compare this to ramming a rider into the boarding? Or you think that because Lefevere is wrong now, that he was wrong then also?
It's better than the guy's previous band's name...TIL
