Seems like the break consists of Maté and Okamika. The intermediate sprint is 150km down the road.
As Horner said, it's going to be a second rest day for most, and a much needed one for Evenepoel.

What else would you expect - Teams with sprinters want to ensure it ends in a group sprint.

That's a lot of wins in one picture. And Enric Mas.

Flat, sunny, palm trees, lots of spectators, two riders in a breakaway, (commercials on Peacock), with about 73km to go very quiet thread.

as Eurosport just showed the finish from 2017: this is not an "expected mass sprint" kind of stage, so gaps will be credited on from 1 second

Today, Roglic will try a long range attack. It's what he's all about. Remco will not attack, he will just hypnotise the other riders and ride away into the sunset. A star is born.

with 22 km to go the long range attack will be rather short ;-)

At least the integrity of the sport is retained if Coquard was denied permission to leave the Vuelta to ride in other races.
Maybe I missed it, but I thought it was the team wanting Coquard to drop to go chase points in smaller races? I don’t know why he would want to leave given there are a couple of sprint opportunities and he’s still looking for his 1st GT win?

Next time CyclistAbi offers you a sample of his "stuff", you should probably only take half of it.

Tiberi had a defect, and shortly after the peloton went past a sign pointing towards "Antonio".
