Remco was "dominant" over "always mediocre and second" Mas, couple unknowns and injured/not prepared Roglič. The moment Roglič got some km in his legs, he became better then Remco and looked dominant over him in the last stage where he would take back huge time on Remco and probably stomped all over him in the next days. There was no dominant Remco left already in week 2 any way.
That kind of Remco has no chance against healthy Roglič and NO chance against Vinge/Pog. But he's very young and has all the time to improve.
You do really know nothing about cycling if you say such things.
Do you think Roglic was ever dominant ? think twice.
- In 2020 Vuelta, if you remove bonus time, Roglic wouldnt even be 1st if not for the ITT. This is NOT being dominant.
- In 2019 Vuelta, if you remove ITT, Roglic has only 1 min on 39 yo Valverde, 45 seconds on Quintana
- In 2021, except for Lagos de Covadonga (where Bernal sacrificed himself), he never took more than few seconds on Mas.
Roglic is likeable due to his never give up style, and because he has sometimes smart strategies, but he was never really dominant in a GT. Maybe he was never in top form, ok, but his norm is being barely better if not equal to his opponents.
W1 Remco crushed them.
W2 Remco lost time probably due to the fall, he was still as good as Roglic on Nevada.
