It's the daily ranking, so it's up-to-date except of course in terms of the GC points. If my calculations are right, Kuss will enter the top 20 as number 12.That doesn't include the Vuelta GC points yet though. When those go in, that'll have a significant effect I would anticipate.
But how many of those guys are going to win a GT?
In a week I'll forget what that is and think that it's a closeup of part of a 1980's era lawnmower. That new avatar of yours is horrible. You need to find a pic of Sepp downing the bottle of cava after his stage win.
OMG. He does warmup rides. This guy is just too good for this world.
This Vuelta was a warmup for his Giro-Tour double victory next year.OMG. He does warmup rides. This guy is just too good for this world.
Like, this is the standard of what is needed to praise Kuss as exceptional.

The first part of the stage is basically an almost too easy warmup, so I don’t think warming up does anything. Are warmup rides really standard for the parade stage of a GT?
Maybe for the sprinters, but not the GC winner.
They probably get too much energy from their nutrition, because it is set up for them to expand a certain amount of energy. They are just not gonna do that today, so they had to go for a quick ride before the actual race or their legs would be spinning too fast unnecessarily during the parade. The first part of the stage is basically an almost too easy warmup, so I don’t think warming up does anything.

Now I'm getting annoyed at the media response to and presentation of Kuss rather than Kuss himself.Aren't you scrambling a bit to find things to get annoyed at regarding Kuss?

Imagine the inter-team battle with Remco, GC G, Roglic, & Carlos all vying for that final podium spot at the Tour. That Jonas VIngegaard is a pretty good cyclist, I get the impression he might've been holding a little something back. We will see in next years vuelta when he comes up against the 3x champ Sir Rog.

I was referring to chances of winning a GT - MvdP is a very good one day racer.Van der Poel would also like to be mentioned in that bracket...
Obviously, he didn't check the weather forecast. Why go for a warmup ride in the morning under the rain when clear skies were expected early in the afternoon and the stage starts after 17:00 local time?

It's not about claiming they're lying. It's about the copious and effusive praise of what a great guy he is for simply not being an absolute a-hole. Like I said before, compare the treatment Cadel Evans got in 2008 for looking out for his dog. And simple things like letting somebody else sit in the front seat of the car is being met with comments like "he's too good for this world" as though it's some great altruistic act.Yes, I noticed. I'm sure he's a terrible person and all the media are lying.
I thought it was the wheel sucking and the squeaky voice that made everyone dislike Evans. It's not about claiming they're lying. In the Sepp thread you've even got a couple of posts by people for whom he's their favourite rider saying the media presentation of him has been ridiculous.
