Ganna's Belgian win was one of those funny technical/positioning ones where there wasn't much scope to come round him IIRC, he would've won here in a flat sprint if he maybe had Thomas or Fraile leading him out as he looked faster than Groves, which is not what I expected.

Someone on the level of Groves was obviously never happening, but Mozzato, Moschetti, De Kleijn and Aniolkowski all moved to teams below Jayco in the pecking order this past winter. All of those would be useful signings, and I have a hard time believing none of them were gettable.

Again its easier said then done and you also have team dynamics at play - For example, they could have taken Mezgec who would do just as well as if not better than the listed riders, and more importantly is more versatile, and can get over tougher finishes - They should never have signed Quick who is an Asian Conti level rider.

Thank God Ineos have realised they need to use Ganna in an attacking role and he's a chance to win a stage. Do not discard Groves winning one of those hilly or semi-mountainous stages because he can climb well on a good day.

Jumbo have been a bit lucky so far in these bunch sprints considering how disorganized they look going into the final 10km.

I saw Vingegaard having to work his way to the front by himself whilst Rog was nowhere (not to mention the intermediate sprint which just passed them all by).

We'll see if they have a plan tomorrow.

Vingegaard was mostly behind Van Baarle, no?

But, but, this is the most professional team in the history of cycling ever!

I think that if Jumbo fails to drop Remco tomorrow on the MTF or at least gain a few seconds, he has this Vuelta in the bag.

Remco thought it was a sprint for 3 seconds. He gained 6. (Hope he wins this Vuelta now with 5 seconds ahead).
Wait untill he figures out there’s 10 seconds to grab at the finish line. Groves could be in trouble.

Love to see Ganna give it a go in these sprints, already close but looked really strong.
