Which is fine for a Thursday. Not Saturday.I don't get why people is so mislead to think this pretended to be a mountain stage. This was an undercover flat stage.

What happened today didn't help GC Kuss at all.And what would they gain from that? They swept the podium here last year, they’re not likely to be content to just passively sit in the peloton like some teams. They had a card to play, they played it.
So who is a good cyclist in your mind? He's just not very strong. Underperforming
Valter is a very nice rider, unfortunately for him he's just not showing what he has prevously shown and is therefore underperforming. How's this even controversial or a debateSo who is a good cyclist in your mind?
Are you kidding? He’s not the main guy this year. He’s behind a half dozen other climbers who are consistly climbing much better than he is. No shot at podium—so you’re saying they should put the effort into supporting Kuss’s chance to get back in top 10 vs. Wout’s chances to grab KOM and win a stage? What happened today didn't help GC Kuss at all.

Or perhaps you really are just pulling our legs.
?? Maybe it’s me but you’re just not making sense.Kuss didn't help Wout today.
Only confirmation seemed to be that Bora can support well. No panic and not much wasted energy.Interesting stage today. Not what I expected, but...
I agree on the surface but if he were to start coming good, say tomorrow; his team is approaching jerky level on the fresh meat scale. Visma has to salvage something out of the race and getting Wout home with the green looks to be the only bet they believe in.Are you kidding? He’s not the main guy this year. I don’t quite get stage designs like today’s. They seem pointless to me and not ideal for a Saturday.
Looking forward to tomorrow’s stage, though!
Seems fair since a "sprinter" is leading the KOM.Harold Tejada is currently third in the sprinters' classification.
Just thought I'd throw that one out there.
I would cal green + stage wins + possible KOM + great prep for Wout for worlds salvaging something 😜I agree on the surface but if he were to start coming good, say tomorrow; his team is approaching jerky level on the fresh meat scale. Probably won't last long.Seems fair since a "sprinter" is leading the KOM.
He can do the first two. The KOM will have lots of people on those hills..I would cal green + stage wins + possible KOM + great prep for Wout for worlds salvaging something 😜
Costly stage for O'Connor and company as they had to work the front.. Costly for Visma, as they spent some currency on a great Wout gamble that almost paid off, Van Aert riding his bike at a cadence that heats up his bottom bracket bearings!! Guy is lights out awesome, all conditions!! Uphill ,downhill, working in a break and sprinting!!I don't get why people is so mislead to think this pretended to be a mountain stage.
