Roglic needs to just ride Gatorskins and stop all the bike switch out drama.. Or have the mechanics put in those green things.. Mr. Tuffy tire liners!!
He definitely enjoyed the use of the super low gears at the end of the stage. Mas would've had 10-15 seconds on him without it. It did seem a bit too dramatic, though.

In the end an absolute Trojan won the stage. Castrillo looked to be in trouble for the last 8km of that climb and pulled out the win...never seen that level of torturous body mechanics net such an amazing finish!

Always blows my mind how somebody who has been at the top of professional cycling for 9 years, and who was the world number one cyclist at his peak, can be so completely clueless about cycling

there has to be something lost in translation here, there's no way he could possibly think O'Connor was ahead. Roglic was on his wheel the whole way up the climb until he and Lipowitz attacked.

You see Roglic really rolling it over w what looked like mountain bike cog set!! He really looks fantastic, great cadence and really quiet and composed on the bike, the switch out makes perfect sense for his style.. He really is humble and does his job, he keeps nibbling away.. Today Bora showed uphill horsepower that O'Connor didn't have available, UAE just not showing up, and Sepp Kuss and Carlos Rodriguez some lonely cowboys!! Don't know where I could see kilometer by kilometer time splits but Mas and Landa keep doing some come from behind thing that's weird.. and today Mas appearing out of the fog was rock concert or Hollywood like..

Could very well be that the riders are required to use it to get down.
All the post-stage stuff - mixed zone, podium, and the like - is about 3 Ks down from the finish, and might be smarter to put riders in a ski lift, rather than having them ride down.

Who's kissing?
Only the leaders get the gondola, you can see some of the early finishers descending on their bikes when the slowest guys Are still approaching the finish.

Cuitu Negru is really fun as unipuerto finish on stage 11.

Its not so much fun if it is the stage where you expect the biggest gaps to happen
Should always be the first climb of whatever mountain block (preferably an early one) it's part of. If not, it is much better to finish at Pajarés and come from a series of big passes ending with Cobertoria.

He said it ironic cause the interviewer led with "today didnt go as planned" and he responded in an ironic smug manner "oh i lost time to the red jersey i didnt realize how much did i lose?". Which i personally find pretty epic, but hey im a fanboy of his so what do I know

Rogla swapped bike and drafted the team car, and ended up not knowing where BOC was
UAE pulled the break, got equal with Wout for KOM and and third
SQS pulled hard and achieved, nothing.
Vlasov sucked wheel and got second.
