Dude will have 5 minutes on a lot of riders, the 4th of the Giro, someone who has been 4th in the Tour before. I don't get this. He looks to be in form too, otherwise you aren't able to do this.

I don't even understand Bora's bluff anymore.

Still losing time... Why? Why would Bora just keep giving him time for no reason? i don't understand it. He has the jersey, he will have it for more than a week already

Why would Roglic, Mas, etc not go to the front and take some time back now on a tired O’Connor?. They are going to have to do it every single age, why not start now?

I mean the only thing that I can think of is that Roglič actually feels horrible. Idk, it is very weird but I'm not complaining, it should be fun

I've been wondering if we will see GC attacks on this stage as the peleton get closer to the top

Ben O’Connor finished 4th in the 2021 Tour after pulling something similar on Tignes in a stronger field. Would not be taking him too lightly.
Totally agree.

That's why I think it's a bit of both. I think they miscalculated how strong he is and how hard it would be to reel in a breakaway on a stage like today if someone is on form. I do also think/hope that they are underestimating him which, for the reasons you've pointed out, are stupid.

It's not quite the same thing obviously, but I've found in my own racing experience that there are times when there is this group think in the peloton and riders have an unfairly poor reputation for being weaker. The old "he's not strong" and "don't worry about him" BS. I love it when they're proven wrong.
