If there were proper mountain stages in this final week we could totally have had someone other than Vingegaard and Almeida turn this around and win the whole thing. Thanks for nothing, Unipublic.
Of course the climber Pidcock would do that...

Awesome climb and dramatic landscapes: half green, half black (post-fire). It looked like they were climbing an active volcano! Too bad GC action disappointed. Congrats to Pelizzari on a great win after helping Hindley. Pidcock finished strongly and didn't break under Hindley attacks. Vingegaard looked very beatable today but Almeida looked...even worse. Interestingly those two seemed the weakest out of the front group. Game on, tomorrow a time-trial so let's see what happens.

Of course the climber Pidcock would do that...
I was thinking mostly about Bora, in a similar fashion to Yates on Finestre.

I also wouldn't rule out Pidcock winning a GT at some point. This breakthrough performance reminds me a lot of Di Luca in the 2005 Giro...
