Going by everyone's speeds, there is a pretty clear headwind on the way out and therefore a tailwind on the way back in.

Still a good time from him to be honest. It was pretty clear that he wouldn't hang on to Ganna's pace, maybe he's a bit disappointed he didn't beat Hoole.

He also has a bizarre amount of motopacing, as has Cavagna (who even had a van?). Cavagna will be about 15-20s back, too.

Ganna is the biggest damnified. He was a clear favorite in 27 kilometers. Now he could be beaten by riders like Ayuso.

Keep in mind that I hadn't seen the last partical. LOL

They showed his final 3km. He drafted up close behind another river, but got less help from motos/vans than others. The motorbike following him did keep having speeds at 60-65km/h, though.

I think it's a bit unusual that the fastest rider gained something like 5 seconds per kilometer on several of his closest opponents in the last third of such a short TT.
