At this point, you can't blame the riders, this is a 100% management problem. Its the Pog show and if he's not there its like a classroom with the supply teacher

Yes, although there are riders who have helped in other races at least. Vine didn't go for any victory at the Giro and dedicated himself to helping. But what happened yesterday and today is unacceptable on his part. It's the problem that other teammates have set a bad example.

If I were the director of UAE, I'd consider this behavior grounds for dismissal, but as long as they can achieve 100 victories, they don't seem to care about this unbridled selfishness. Even if it costs them victory in a GC at the Giro with McNulty celebranting top10 and a Vuelta.

You can't sit back and watch and let everyone do whatever they want for years and then one day fire somebody because they didn't file the April TPS report
I'm going to change the phrase. If I were the owner of UAE, I'd fire the director who allowed this. And from then on, the riders.
I have a different concept of team and would never damage the team's chances of winning a Giro or a Vuelta because of selfishness.

Not sure the overall win rate warrants firing the director.

I mean yeah, it should be addressed. But unless there’s someone better available…
