And isn’t that the problem with thesesuperteams. Stacked with folk who should be riding GC, deliberately losing time and stagehunting from breaks. It’s not been a great GC year but this is the lowpoint for me. Nice to see Ganna win though.

The Vuelta organizers should say: "Due to the TT shortening and concerns over the weekend stages we decided to correct our earlier mistake and do a modest 18 km ITT from Susa to Finestre on Sunday."

I'm OK with doing that to make a name for yourself or at the end of your career but Vine probably is on Pidcock`s level, with a much better TT, in this Vuelta.

My eyes read it as 'TTT'.
I think that route will compensate for the prologuesque TTT a couple of weeks ago.

Vine also competed for stage wins at Alpecin.

Vine's problem is that with his crash history, he probably thinks it's not worth it because one day he'll lose all chances of winning the overall.

On sprint days, Vine lets dropeed himself. Imagine Vine fighting in the peloton with the sprinters' teams. Those are the days with the most crashes.

That's taking into account that Vine's best GT is always the Vuelta. The tension is much higher in the Tour, and the Giro has more descents than the Vuelta.

Oh yeah, maybe Burgos can to contact the organizers and change the proposal to Bola del Mundo?
Just in their hood of far more familiar proving grounds, without the need for that support riders on such TTT event

His climbing is nowhere near that of Pidcock here. Stage 9 is a very clean example of that.

There was an 8km ITT at the end of the Vuelta in 2014, and nobody liked it.

Also, the Tour route was heavily criticized in 2015 when it only had a short opening ITT.

Susa-Finestre TT was my wet dream of a Vuelta prologue to shake-up the GC a bit but they screw it and designed a worthless stage instead. If they did it on the last day (due to protests in Spain) I would forgive them.
