Interesting comment from Pedersen pre-stage IMO.
When asked if they considered swapping Kragh and Hoole in his leadout, he replied that wouldn't make sense considering the future (i.e. Hoole leaving the team).
It tells you something about Pedersen - already now - being firmly focused on the spring season, when it's a bigger priority to get his 2026 ducks in a row than winning a Vuelta stage.
It also tells you where the Vuelta ranks amongst the top riders

I sometimes feel pity for the super sprinters - they have fewer chances these years. But then I watch stages like the one today and think "what's the point"?
There are others of us watching who don't see anything worth commenting aboutIf all three of us who are watching this stage pull together we can set a new record today.
