Interesting comment from Pedersen pre-stage IMO.

When asked if they considered swapping Kragh and Hoole in his leadout, he replied that wouldn't make sense considering the future (i.e. Hoole leaving the team).

It tells you something about Pedersen - already now - being firmly focused on the spring season, when it's a bigger priority to get his 2026 ducks in a row than winning a Vuelta stage.

It also tells you where the Vuelta ranks amongst the top riders ;)
