Hey!
I was watching national wrestling live just today (on city-wide commercial channel btw).

It was fine.

Given how much Kazakhstan has now given to the world of cycling, what's the national scene like? Any real notable races? Obviously there's nothing UCI-categorised other than the nationals, but there must be quite vibrant racing going on to justify the amount of talents they've produced and the team being focused on it. It looks like there are some really good climbs in the Almaty region, but neither Kash nor Vino are from anywhere near those climbs...

David Harmon whinging about the colours now. Apparently he used to be a cameraman, and still has no idea why the quality should be so bad!

Yeah, I've wondered about that, too. Cycling must be taking off in Kazakhstan. Maybe the UCI could take a lesson in how to popularize the sport.

All the UCI needs to do is impose tinpot dictators around the world and convince them bankrolling a cycling team is a good way to advertise their hellish misrule. Today Kazakhstan, tomorrow Kyrgyzstan!

lol yeh.

(seriously tho if by some miracle he did win i would be pi$$ed as i looked at him @200 today and thought maybe i put $5 on him just in case. The other guy I seriously considered was degenkolb @26. (ofc cav turned me off that) so none of that please.

got matti @41
and kittel @ 13
:)

i don't think i will win, but whatever.

Yeh, if HTC worked for Degenkolb I think he'd have a good chance. Maybe Skil will give him a hand.

Not much, except for some criteriums here and there on special occasions.

As far as i understand, they lived there in sport soviet boarding schools. Special program gathered and selected children from entire republic.

Kash was actually born in southern region which is pretty close to Almaty, btw.

ITV is using the Australian commentary? Very strange.

Apparently so. Not sure if its the Aussie commentary per se ( is the race live in Aus?) or whether it is just a generic english language commentary that the race organisation is providing and Itv are just using..?
