Sutton's value suddenly goes up..., Greenedge would like him IMO but I hope he stays at Sky because he can ride.

Being fresh can make a difference.

i missed the stage. cool to see tommeke is getting into shape.

him matti and freire can be really dangerous at this worlds. those 3 are pure born hard man that are fresher then most after 280k and do their best sprinting on tough slightly uphill sprints just like the worlds. cav better be careful.

personally i dont rate cav much chance, but we'll see.

Did any gc leaders lose time. For example of 9 Leopard riders on mt this morining only 2 remain meaning 7 lost time .

So its possible that on other teams some big riders, maybe a Scarponi or a Menchov for example may have lost a few seconds.

Sastra lost 20 seconds it seems

If I remember rightly from last year, the Vuelta site often gave time splits, only to later give everyone the same time. Couldn't really see any splits, but then I only saw one replay.

Anyone see what happened to Sagan? Looked like he was there, and then absolutely nowhere two seconds later.

His chance to get red jersey will come tomorrow, if he can drop Kittel on that last climb. He has pretty good descending skill as well, so I expect good stage for him.

To bad Kittel isn't a Guardini isn't it. :D
Who thought he'd not Top 3? That was really a courages bet to make.

I think people need to see him in a real sprint against top guys to make a judgement. The top 10 shows pretty conclusively that it was not a normal bunch sprint.

Guardini definately couldn't have got 3rd today, but my fundamental bias against power sprinters makes me think he'd take Kittel on a proper sprint.

Shack fail.

126 202 BUSCHE, Matthew RSH + 44''
158 204 KLÖDEN, Andreas RSH + 1' 18'

You expect a GC heavy team for the Shack but Sky have shown having at least 1 sprinter is important.

The person thats picks the Shack team is more dumb than the England cricket selectors circa 1990-98 and is an idiot and thats saying something. :)

well cav's 09 M-SR sprint was extremely good so he can be fast after an hard race. and at this years tour the stage where he beat gilbert was proper hard finish so he also handle those. i think he has a real chance this year.
