I can't take Slagter seriusly cos it means Butcher in Danish, so i always end up snickering when you all go: SLAGTER SLAGTER! :p

Let it be resolved that Tom Slagter's nickname will from this day forth be The Butcher of Groningen

:p:p:p

We all knew this was going to happen. Last mountain a borefest.

If only they switched the order of climbs.

Too bad he's not from Boskoop or something.

Or Bedum... That's right bij Groningen.

Although the nickname doesn't translate that well.

Either way, The Butcher is pretty solid as far a nicknames go in English at least.

You could say the climb starts now, with 12 km to go. But according to the profile it'll be even less steep for several kilometers.

Porte is riding fullout, but the front group is only gaining time...

Sigh, you would think on a tempo climb like this, Porte would have somewhat of an advantage

12 k left- expect the fireworks before the 5k mark....... This is the kind of stage that I miss Duarte - he could have gone to the front already and started some serious attacks to rattle the peloton :)

Pop goes the Colombian!

40 seconds is the gap, this is looking promising.

Contador loses his second-last team-mate.

I'm looking at the profile and it's quite depressing, they're on the toughest part right now.
