Indeed. And like Gesink recently, he got all of his advantage on the flat. What's up with these Dutch climbing talents turning into rouleurs?
Who is Gesink?

What's suprising, is that Chalapud has recently put in the best performances. While he is nowhere near the best climber on that squad

yeah it's because he is easiest to adapt because he's bigger with 1.79. same with suarez which I predict will do well and already did today.

still guys like quintana and atapuma are 6 and 8 years younger than pozzovivo and anton, so you have to be blind not to see them in the futere of top cycling.

Help, help, I'm blind!

Also, just an aside here, but have you heard of capital letters?

Tondo got his *** kicked in the PN ITT by Mollema and in the Basque country by Gesink.
You still so certain?

:p

they didn't attack they split the field and only anton and pozzovivo could follow, no small feat at all. and by showing how serious it was after the climb both anton and pozzo cooperated with the 3 colombians to get the gap on contador.

I am rather new here but it seems to me you have some serious chauvinism issues...

I think Tondo, like Intxausti, chose a wrong gear for the Basque Country ITT, and that's why they both did worse than expected.

You did read the part where Mollema gained the time on Tondo on the flat part?

So did Gesink btw.

Oh my bad then... to be honest I don't usually pay attention to third class riders like Mollema so I missed that.

What type of rider would you guys say Slagter is (or will be)? He looks promising.

A climber with a pretty decent kick, probably a Di Luca/Cunego type (obviously not nearly as good, but the same type of rider).

Edit: Sella is probably a better comparison.
