Why not make the finish on the top ? I think it's boring because you know when Rodriguez was in with Quintana and Henao that he was going to win the stage.

Yes the organizers planned the stages 1 year ago knowing these three would come to the line first

You could see Purito knew the finish well. Well deserved. Great comeback for Henao!

Nairo calmly following with two fingers up his nose

Henao is actually quite fast, Rodriguez outfoxed him and forced him to lead the sprint. Anyway Joaquim Purito Rodriguez is officially back!

The Spanish organizers know it was a stage for either Rodriguez or Valverde, so definitely a stage they had made for a Spanish stage win !

I have been waiting for more then 1 year for this! Purito is back!

And a victory in LBL is far more likely now!

Didn't realize Majka was so close to the front, looks like he's getting back into shape as well.

Crazy that Henao is back to this level already. I heard he was already super in support of Swift on the last stage of Coppi e Bartali.

So, a three-way battle for the overall. The nature of the climbs should give more explosive Henao and Purito an edge over Quintana. The front three seemed that much stronger on the last climb than the rest, that considering the routes of remaining stages I don't believe anyone can come back from behind despite gaps being small.
I didn't believe Purito and specially Henao being that good, but glad to see it nevertheless.

Forgetting the TT perhaps?
Kwiatek at 7 seconds.
Not really, even if he manages to hang on tomorrow on Arrate, there is still Aia stage to come. Also the TT is hilly which should make his advantage over little climbers considerably smaller. Wouldn't be shocked if Kwiat manages to do it, but right now I don't believe it really.
