I heard Pinot talking about him as their GC-man, but he doesn't seem to have had any results this year...

I expect Kangert to be rather strong in first weeks. He wasn't too happy with his Tour form, said how he was much weaker than in Giro13 etc. But supposedly the tour got him into really good shape and he is feeling great now. He is just worried that it won't last all 3 weeks. Still, said he wants a "single digit" in GC. And knowing how modest he is stating any goals and talking anything up, I think he could be somewhat of a dark horse and do pretty well.

Yeah, both Kangert and Gesink were available for 6. Gesink is another dark horse, the other guy that could surprise people is Niemiec, he rode a bad Giro because of that big crash but showed good form in Poland.

I guess so much about that. Apparently he's been racing with bronchitis and sinusitis, antibiotics effecting him pretty bad, missing at least 100 watts. Hopes to recover enough to do some domestique work, says he doesn't know how to abandon races

Gesink, Caruso (Damiano) and Kangert were my 6-credit "unclassified" riders.

I would have chosen Txurruka as a 4-credit if that's all I had left.
