Could this still have any consequences even though it has appeared relatively late?

I wonder who those riders are. They're hard to recognize.

Whoever they are, they should be tossed!

Struggling to work out the vuelta organisations reasons for the combativity prize. Surely Yates should have won today, and how did Mate win yesterday.

Mate surprisingly won it on stage 7 as well, so I think he has some connections somewhere.

Sometimes I wonder how many cyclists get away with it simply because there wasn't a video recording of it.

Almost everybody gets away with it, and that's nothing.

Every now and then probably, though Dutch rider Koen de Kort said on Twitter that self regulation in the bunch is normally quite strong.

Oh, I'm sure Koen de Kort is right about that. I just don't think this is the kind of thing they self-regulate against.

Actually, if we start this trend on making videos and throwing riders out, most probably nobody will finish any race anymore.
Just saying.

Or riders will simply stop breaking the rules because they fear being caught on camera.

As there seems to be no thread for stage 16 yet: Rohan Dennis won't start today because of an illness.

"After viewing the video footage that showed two of our riders intentionally holding onto the team car during the 20th stage (sic) on Sunday, September 3rd, the management of the AG2R LA MONDIALE team has decided to withdraw Alexandre Geniez and Nico Denz from the Vuelta a Espana," read the team statement.

In other words, AG2R has no problem with the riders doing it, only with the fact that it was caught on video. Everyone inside that car should also be thrown out of the race.

If they cared they would toss out whoever was behind the wheel. This is not just a rider problem.
