Just ran through the starlist and decided that Xavier Tondo and Rigaberto Uran are pretty good dark horses for top 5/10. One of Cassies riders will get in the mix.

If Menchov wins Contador would probably feel stupid for not participating him self. They both went full out in the Tour and if Menchov is able to win this Vuelta perhaps Contador could have done the same. But then again, Contador looked like hell after the last time trial in the Tour.

I'm going to tip Rodriguez.

People have been saying he's peaked twice this year? When was the first time he peaked? I know he peaked for the Tour....

I think he may be able to back up the Tour performance.

He was up there in Paris-Nice, Volta a Catalunya and Fleche Wallonne.

And yes, I can see Tom Danielson 4th already.

1st in Volta a Catalunya
3rd in Vuelta al País Vasco
7th in Paris–Nice

1st in Grand Prix Miguel Indurain
2nd in La Flèche Wallonne

That's 3 stage races, where he battled for the GC, and 2 one day races, which he tried to win. So you think he didn't peak in the spring? ;)
