Hi,
I'm getting some conflicting advice, so wondering if you can help - please ?

I'm new to this type of training.
I have a Trek 4300, and I am thinking of getting a Wahoo Kicker v5.
I'm not sure if my bike is compatible, some recommendations I received was that I would need to change the cassette on the Kickr ?
Can anyone help?

Or maybe suggest a different smart trainer? I'm just going on YouTube reviews. My aim is to use Zwift for building up my stamina, virtual races ..etc
Thanks

Thanks King.
I still have the original Shimano HG20 9 speed, and it's still running well after all these years :)

If I do go for the KickR v5, I'll need to buy the cassette and tools to remove, which all adds up.
I'm also looking at reviews for the Elite Direto / stito, but I am reading that when doing interval training with zwift there is a lag (i.e. when doing a 2 min sprint the it takes 30 secs for the smart trainer to sync) - any experience with this? Any recommendations on smart trainers?

Not much I'm afraid, I do all my training on rollers. Pretty sure you can do intervals on most trainers with it not set to erg mode which is the one that takes time to catch up. Rollers with magnetic resistance and a power meter was my solution, then just use the gears to increase resistance.
