Wow, that's nice, I thought I'd heard that the U23 races wouldn't be broadcasted.

The local broadcaster L1 stepped in at the last moment and saved the day :)

Oh yeah!

Hoping for a miracle later: Emma Johansson beating Vos.

This is the World Championships, so the chances are SOMEBODY will beat Vos and have her finish 2nd yet again. Emma J is as good a bet as any as this course will surely be well suited to her.

Yep, it's a good course for Emma. The manager for the swedish team speculated about Emma's chances of beating Vos and the ideal development for Emma would be a strong late break that Vos need to bring back herself, that could tire her out and improve Emma's chance of beating her. The manager also thought the dutch team will ride aggressive like in the Olympic race and not like in Copenhagen last year.

Think there's 4 and a half laps to go, so that makes it about 70km left I believe.

What's happened to Felline? I notice he's not on the time checks anymore. Is that just a tech glitch or has he quit?

He had to change his bike, but he is fine.

The Dutch team are stacked, but the Italians have a good number of riders who can spring an upset too. It's not ideal for Bronzini, but they had a similar stage in the Brainwash Tour recently and she finished top 10 so they're going to need to ride the hills hard to get rid of her.

Yes, Vos herself announced this as well. They'll ride aggressively.

Personally I think, with the strength in numbers they have, they could Team Sky this race to death, and have Vos jump away on the last climb of the Cauberg. Those who will be able to follow her won't beat her in the sprint.
