Dead Vole

A friend is a taxidermist and asked me that if I ever found a dead vole that looked reasonably intact whilst out riding, could I pick it up for him. About 10 miles into an 80 mile ride I spotted a dead vole in the verge. I duly picked it up, wrapped it in a stray piece of plastic bag that I found, and rode 70 miles with this dead creature in my pocket. It was duly stuffed after spending some months in my friend's freezer.

A tall can of some beer, a flask full of sailor jerry, condoms, and a taco.

Hardly weird. Unless you consider wanting to party like its 1999 weird.

I brought home a large packet of fresh salmon sausages in my jersey pocket today.
Previously I have had one pocket full of sardines, another full of ocutopus.

All wrapped in plastic of course!

Once, I had my car's numberplates in my back-pocket after logging off my car at the road traffic office.
I was happy with that, because on my way home of course I crashed hard because of an autistic person on the cycle path, made a salto and fell on my back (on the numberplates). Holy numberplates. Only some scratches at the coccyx. Thats destiny. Or not ?

Likely, I wouldn't have crashed if i didn't ride to traffic office that day I think.

I hope so! One never wants to give the local dogs reason to chase! They have enough of that mojo themselves.

My old girlfriend had me well wrapped around her little finger, so tampons etc. Today, rode to the docs with a twinrx vaccination wrapped in a bag of frozen peas.

Gosh in all these years lots of strange things, like tools. had an axe in there more than a few times. Couldn't fit them in my jersey pocket but i once bought a crate of strawberries and balanced them on my handlebars for the ride home.
My favourite memory of strange things was a dozen of my mothers homeade donuts before a long team ride. Everyone laughed at me even though they had never had one of her donuts(nothing like common donuts) after about 40 miles my two teammates ran out of food and reluctantly asked for a donut. Pretty soon they were gone and they were hooked on them. From then on they were jonesin every ride for a homade donut. after i left the team they offered money to my mother to make them donuts.
funny stuff you'd think they were filled with drugs....:D

The **** end of a modified and loaded pump action shot gun (bear swatter) the business end of which was bungeed to my CamelBak and pointed precariously close to the back of my own head. In the other pockets, a fly rod tube, a reel, and an air horn. That's salmon fishing in Alaska.

I used to do a lot of the grocery shopping for my Mom when I was a kid and baskets were for old people (!), so any pockets and the front of my jacket were usually loaded on trips like that. But I also carried out a stengun (in pieces) from a former place of employment. The **** (shoulder piece ) was the hardest, as it was longer and had to stay concealed while passing through the gate. Then 23 km home with that stuck in the back under your jacket (LOL).
