Since you can't see who actually these 18 voters are, how can you confidentally say they are "contador fanboys" and simply just individuals who don't think Andy will be capable of getting back to his best? Who is to say they are Contador fans at all?

I think he likely won't be back to his best until 2014 but he will reach a decent level of competitiveness, lacking the ability to create and maintain a gap on his rivals in the mountains.

I'm a non-Spanish speaking African-American from Michigan. How does that fit into your pigeon-holing of how many fans a rider has and where their base is?

The often cited reason Andy gets it from some here is because of how unmotivated he tends to be in virtually every race except for a one week period at the end of April and in the month of July.

As far his massive natural talent, that has never been in dispute but you are in error if you think that most here wish that he would simply go away because he's such a threat to Contador. If you haven't been paying attention many here have altered their opinion greatly on Andy and hope that he returns to his best so that we can see the great battles in the mountains of the Tour. He gets criticized because of his not making the most of his "natural talent". Of course his being a threat is greatly dependent upon his improving his skills versus the clock and that certainly hasn't appeared to be something that he has shown a great willingness and motivation to do.

I really liked him during 2007-2009 and he was decent in 2010

But in 2011, he lost time to great climbers like Rojas and completely stopped caring about anything but LBL and Tour.
In 2012 he wasn't even trying at all during season and we all know how his season ended (If you want to ride slowly during a cat 3 climb and willingly drop yourself from peloton, dont waste a spot in the team, just train at your home)

For example Im his big fan of Alberto(read a signature below) but I voted for 2013.Since he crashed in June I want him to retutn to the best.He is very talented and he is great climber(he is near Alberto,maybe Froome),thats why I want him to return.to see great performances in mountains and drama in July.To say 18 people voted him cos they are Contador fan is bull**** since me,Hitch,Carols,Flo,Afrank etc.want him to comeback.

Like Flo said,he has big fan basis outside of Lux...If he is better than Alberto next year he should win.He can take the glory,I dont mind if he will be the best.
