I was thinking the same.
He boldly predicted that he would contend for the TdF title after winning the Giro, then crashed out in a massive pile-up before the end of week one.
But he looked super strong in some of the early stages that had hill-top finishes, placing ahead of some of the favourites.
I think he will be up there if he keeps his eyes open and doesn't crash out or get caught behind a big wreck in week one.
