Gloin22 said:Bouhanni is not going to Tour. It's bit known for a while and is a reason why Bouahanni did the whole Giro. It's all for Demare.
Bouahnni and Demare hate each other. Literally. They can't be in races together and well that is why Bouhanni will leave, as FDJ prefers Demare for the Tour at this point.
Arredondo said:You forget Purito and Valverde. If Purito doesn't ride the Tour, we will get a epic fight between him and Quintana. Contador won't really be in the mix then because of a hard Tour in his legs already.
Red Rick said:If anyone can do damage in the Vuelta after riding the Tour it's Contador, especially has he's been amazing in every race he entered thus far this year
Arredondo said:Do damage in the first weke maybe, but he's not going to win against a fresh Quintana and Purito. No way, it's impossible. Even in 2011, he was amazing in the Giro, but missed something in the Tour.
He had some injury problems back then, yes. But arriving the Vuelta fresher than your opponent is vital in terms where you will end in GC.
xanadu said:That`s the problem with the giro being in May, its just so hard to hold your form for the next crop of big races. Anyone who has been fighting for a top ten finish has most likely burnt their matches, even holding that form for the Duphine is a big ask.

Red Rick said:Giro-Tour >>>>> Tour-Vuelta
Tour Vuelta has had some decent doubles in the last years, most notably Sastre 2008, Valverde 2008, Cuddles 2009, Purito 2010, Froome 2012, Valverde 2012, Purito 2013 and Valverde 2013
Note that Froome couldn't rest after the Tour in 2012 due to the Olympics. I think this Vuelta may very well be the best GT this year
Arredondo said:Totaly true, but were al these riders also good till the bitter end of the Vuelta?
Red Rick said:Except for Froome, they were at least consistent through the entire Vuelta
Libertine Seguros said:Ooh, only just realised Burgos and Portugal don't clash this year. Shame that it's no longer at the level it was a decade ago as this would have been the ideal time to try and get Lampre to come back to the race and bring Costa if the race was where it was in stature a few years ago.
Arredondo said:That's something else than good enough to win a GT. They were all missing that 5% that needs to win it.
Dekker_Tifosi said:normally kelderman would do vuelta and try to see how far he can go
kevchenko13 said:Have we forgotten about this guy already? Presumably he will elbow Goss out of the Tour squad.

The Hitch said:yeah, Murito won the 19th stage and Valverde was awessome on the 20th.
GuyIncognito said:3rd year pro doing two GTs for GC?
What could possibly go wrong? It's not like it has a history of causing a year of career-best form followed by massive decline...
