Where are those times when he was the ''new leading light of cycling''?

At the age of 24 he was already a world champion and easily as good as a sprinter as Cavendish, other than being a great Classics specialists!

It goes to show how easilly someone can fall from the stars:(... hope he recovers!

A mentally fit Boonen aggainst a Cavendish would be a great show:cool::D:rolleyes: ( at least he would be a match or even more for him)

He's out on a massive Belgian publicity campain to stop all use of Cocaine! He's going to start selling wristbands that say "Tom Boonen says don't do drugs if you're a normal guy, first get a multi-million euro contract and a good lawyer before you hit the powder, then come up with a lame excuse so your sponsors and bosses don't leave you high and dry. Oh and win some big races that all of Belgium spots you up as their hero first.", they're white colored of course and they will fit loose due to all those words.

Sportslike, he showed some very impressive things this year (like winning Roubaix), so what happened to him is that he will have to take an other (forced) long vacation, but he still is one of the best classics specialist, if not the best (for the Flanders races).
His sprinting ofcourse, will become less and less good while aging...

Will somebody please keep this away from Boonen :D, might explain the accidental non-negative for cocaine, I've had some nice drinks mixed with the stuff ;)

Bloody hell  That was Quick! (no pun intended)

Are we going to here that he's back in the Tour? Bizzare - and to be clear my surprise is just because the team was so outspoken about them washing their hands of all this. I thought he was destined for Rock Racing for sure

Tom Boonen and Tony Montana separated at birth, indeed

The decision to let him race the Dauphine Libere in June tells me his team doesn't really care about his well being. Tom's a product.

I can hear Tom saying it now:

Say hello to my BIG friend...

Bright move, kid. You got your one warning, and disregarded it. Wait until you retire, and you can coke up all day, like Pantani did.
