What is 'trolling' here?

I do not think that wishing physical harm is the only reasonable interpretation.

The comment is in response to:

That all sounds like a characterisation of Riccò. Arrogant, hubristic, hated. That behaviour led to Riccò being punished informally in addition to his formal punishment when he was caught.

Ending up as persona non grata was my first thought, not a medical emergency from having to dope on your own (also unclear why that would ever be the case for Pogi).
Thats a very disingenuous interpretation and just using your own intellect to beat around the bush about what your intention is, which is evident.

At a minimum I think Armstrong added to the end should be in the clinic. Clinic aside, I view it as calling someone a narcissist, fraud, and bully due to that being the main perception of Armstrong’s character. Now on the other hand Pogacar is prevalent on social media and the TikTok aspect most definitely came from Pog posting his pool day during the 2023 Tour on social media including TikTok. Then in the broader sense people who post on TikTok are called Tiktokers.

This is the TikTok search that came up for me barring today’s posts, do with it what you will.

Interesting finds.

Define name calling. Is it - independent of context - 'any form of' name calling when we call someone a thief, or a hypocrite, or an idiot, for example? If yes to any, then banning anything using that definition would frankly kill off the forum.
Traffic seems quite slow no? Heart of the classics season. Very little in the way of thread movement. Maybe 50 of us in here max? Maybe a few more during a big race day. Could be just me but it feels a lot slower here than a year ago

This really should be in a different topic, but I don't care enough.

The big race threads definitely aren't quieter. Sanremo well above what it was last year for obvious reasons, Tirreno almost exactly the same, Paris-Nice a fair bit lower but still way ahead of 2023 numbers. And all three miles ahead of the lows of the past (Sanremo was below 500 posts in both 2015 and 2019, that's completely unthinkable nowadays). The small race threads are also doing a lot better than they used to, Coppi e Bartali either wouldn't have had a thread or stayed in the double digits not so long ago and that's up to 140 posts already. Can't tell with the rider threads without a lot of manual work that I don't want to do but I don't think the community is dwindling.

TBF, the forum has been dying since 2014... 🤷‍♀️

Gotta look out for each other a little more and deal with some ribbing. We've earned it after all of the years this place has been in existence and the assault of social media has brought onto the influx of traffic. Social standards have changed since the rules were written. Stronger language is more acceptable in the common vernacular, as example. Otherwise, it's a zero sum gained scenario. Not enough traffic coming in the door, that's leaving the door.

Disagree strongly (apart from your first 9 words)

"Civility is compulsory". Discuss and disagree about cycling as we will, but ad hominem attacks and casting aspersions on each other is not what this place is for. Nobody comes here to be insulted. (but we are moving away from the topic that I had hoped to establish common ground on: how far are we willing to see negative talk of cyclists go?)

It’s a personal experience by definition. The forum empowers people who see certain conversations as a negative experience. Ignore, report (if extreme). even leave. Fans + rivals sports board environments aren’t for everyone. Find your niche and go with it

I do not believe that this was ever established to be a "fans and rivals" board. That style of discourse is not what I believe those who own the forum intend it to host.
