You should document and or record your interactions with UCI, so just in case they never allow you to take Pat up on his open invite, you can do a piece on how he lied.

Yeah, I need to agree on this, record any and everything you write, receive or hear

Ask him what happens to the teams' bank guarantees. Does that money sit in a savings account earning interest, or is it invested? If so, by whom? What happens to the interest or investment earnings - do those gains go back to the teams, or to the UCI? Why does it take so long to pay riders when teams go kaput (a la Mercury)? Is it because the bank guarantee is all tied up in some kind of investment, and the money can't be tapped immediately?

Even if all the bank guarantees only sat in savings accounts all year, that is a pretty sizeable interest earning when you count taking 1/4 of the budgets of all the PT and PC teams worldwide.

Best of luck - I would ask Pat the following:
Pat you say that you welcome whistleblowers and the door is always open for someone who wants to talk. Yet the people who have come forward, you have invariably said they have no credibility, have an axe to grind, and are only doing it for a payday. You said Jorg lacked credibility and that it was only a few bad eggs - why do you refuse to believe these guys, yet support a guy like Lance?
Frankie Andreu lost his job and stood to lose everything from his claims - and you still said he hadn't the correct motives.
You guranteed that AC would not test positive prior to the '10 season - why?
You refused to go on Irish Radio with Beth Andreu after you said her claims were thrown out of court in the SCA trial. She challenged you to come on and explain yourself, you refused. Why?
You refused to come on the same programme with Kimmage in relation to the Contador test - why?

Dammit, tried to post my questions about five hours ago and I've been trumped!

Oh well, here goes...

+1 on the question about separation of promotion and policing, especially in light of Travis Tygart's recent 'fox guarding the henhouse' comments re: doping control at the ToC.

I'd like to know why the UCI isn't more supportive of riders who come clean re: doping. What are they doing to encourage more riders to 'whistle-blow'? Confidential hotlines, guarantees of anonymity and a general amnesty for confessions would be a good start.

Does he feel that the riders and team managers have full faith in the UCI to protect them and treat them fairly in the event of a doping violation?

Who does he feel the UCI are ultimately governing cycling in the interest of? The teams, sponsors, riders or fan? Can he explain his reasoning behind this?

Oh, to the posters saying that he's not worth talking to because when he lies his lips move - how else do you expose the untruths, the inconsistencies without speaking to him?

Hold your questions until they agree to allow Velocentric inside the doors. Otherwise all of this is mental-auto-manipulation (and thank me for not posting an image to go with THIS) ;)

The process of allowing continental federations to name their delegates to the UCI Congress at the last minute and only to the UCI president seems unecessarily secretive.

Will you push for a constitutional change to require these federations to name their delegates a few months in advance of the UCI congress, so their constituents can ask their positions before important votes are held?

I'd ask him if he's gonna play Sun City.

Arizona?

Lol. Comedic interlude. And that's OK, because there is no way that McQuaid is gonna meet with this guy and answer these questions. But back to the topic.

I'd request him to be interviewed by Paul Kimmage and for the transcript to be published in its entirety

I would ask Pat that if he continued on the tradition started by his predecessor of passing on the OCC testing schedule to certain members of IOC committee's....Like Bill Stapleton of the Ethics committee........what is it about the words Stapleton and Ethics in the same sentence that make me laugh? :D

I guess Botany Bay has a point. There's no guarantee that Pat will agree to an interview or to even allow me to spend the day in the UCI offices.

Would be fun catching him out in yet another lie though, wouldn't it?

You copied that from Mad Men.

I'd ask why he has put his money on Baby Schleck but not the dark, handsome looks of Basso or the hunkiness of Boonen or the smoldering nordic gaze of Thor.

How many "donations" did you receive from Armstrong and how many positives were not "found"? And how many riders were used as a scapegoat?

I would ask him about Sylvia Schenk, what he feels about her, why he thinks she said the Armstrong donation was $500,000.

I would ask him how much money he makes at the UCI - both in direct salary and expenses. I would ask him if he has received any gifts or benefits (monetary or otherwise) that resulted from his UCI employment. I would ask him to describe the gifts or benefits if any that he has received.

I would ask him if he ever was found to be in a conflict of interest conducting his duties.

I would ask him if he maintains any business relationships with Hein Verdruggen.

I would get him to explain in detail how drug tests were handled prior to 2001. If he does not know, I would ask to speak with someone who does.

I would ask him if the account that the Armstrong donation went into was the same account that the drug testing machine was paid from. I would ask for documented proof. I would ask McQuack where the drug machine is currently located. I would request to see it. I would ask how many tests were conducted on the device.

It would be good to ask if Verburggen still writes his correspondence for him? Verburggen had a very distinctive way of writing, for some reason for the first couple years of Fat Pat's rule much of his communication used the semantics of a 65 year old Dutch guy trying to write English then a native speaker.

Some good questions being raised.

As for how it's going to be done - No. There will be no Moore style turning up in a Chicken suit to 'bust' them. Although, it is tempting.

Trying to arrange a firm date at the moment that will allow an interview with McQuaid to happen.

With cameras? I would like to see him squirm as you give him some tougher questions.

No, not with the cameras.

More like the armored car with the cash bags to take the money back to the people.

Dave.

Can he bring a copy of the Sysmex Receipt with him. This time in eligle form.

When does he intend to leave to UCI to start up his own company to rape and pillage cycling some more?

Who is Hein grooming to be his next marionette?

When is he getting his teenage grandson a senior executive position at the UCI*?

*I have no idea if he indeed has grand children nor do I care.

Yes, actually. Hopefully on camera. I don't see why that should be an issue for him in his quest for transparency and to calm the baying bloggers ;)

I'd ask him 2 questions.
1) Do you think you are the best person for the Job you hold?
2) Do you eat beef ?

I've thought of something now. - Ask the Mcquaid guy who he reckons would win in a face off between Taylor Phinney and Jack Bobridge in the track 4 k pursuit.. Doubt if the idiot Mcquaid has ever heard of them but you never know.
